Push Through The Pain

Of course, we all know that the Boston Celtics is the best team in the NBA . . . but have we REALLY been paying attention to Isaiah Thomas? I mean like, REALLY PAYING ATTENTION?  Physically, he’s gotta be in pain. He’s got that fractured tooth situation. Emotionally, he is in pain following the death of his 22 year old sister which happened right at the start of the playoffs.  He really is my hero. In spite of everything that he’s gone through over the last couple of weeks, he’s been pushing through the pain.

PUSHING THROUGH THE PAIN . . . .That’s not an easy thing to do!  That takes COURAGE! That takes a spirit of willingness.  

Any goal that’s worth having (cleaning up our eating habits, getting out of debt, quitting smoking, learning to stand up for ourselves) is probably going to hurt a little initially. But as I’ve been paying attention to Isiah Thomas over the past couple of weeks, I’ve learned that the only way to lessen the pain’s effect over your life is to experience it! To go through it! It’s kinda like taking life by the horns! And once your pain tolerance expands a little, you will become more willing and able to experience more of life. That includes trying new things, learning things that you’re not good at, doing something that scares you a little to expand your comfort zone, and most of all, living life to the absolutely fullest.

Thank you Isaiah Thomas for showing me how to push past the pain!
